Mike and Nadine Grimsted, look forward to welcoming you to Boulders Lodge and Adventure Academy. 

Mike is an Internationally Accredited BMW Motorrad Instructor, with 13 years of motorcycle training experience, both on road and off-road. He is a professional Motorrad Instructor. Mike is very serious and passionate about his training and although he follows BMW’s strict guidelines has the ability to adapt courses to suit individual needs, making sure all candidates get the personal attention and professional coaching that they deserve.

Although a BMW Motorrad certified Instructor, Mike welcomes any make of motorcycle and does not discriminate against any brand, no matter what you ride you will always be welcomed.

Mike has been invited to teach both in Jordan and Dubai and still currently teaches in Dubai on a regular basis. Riding big Adventure bikes over the dunes is certainly one of the highlights that he gets to experience every year.

Nadine is the Anchor of the business, not only does she keep a tidy ship as far as the business goes and makes sure everyone is happy, she is also an amazing cook and provides all guests with Home cooked meals, amongst other things her homemade breads topped with homemade butter and jams are a sure winner. Everything is homemade and nothing is too much trouble.

Not only is Nadine a great cook, she too is a great rider and understands all her customers needs.  

Brandon, Mike and Nadine’s Son, should also not be left out of the equation, in 2020 he was part of the GS Trophy team that represented South Africa at the International Trophy event that took part in New Zealand. South Africa won the GS Trophy for the third consecutive time, making them World Champions once again.

Brandon has had a lot to do with setting out of the training facility and it was obvious this was his training ground leading up to the World Championships.

Although Brandon no longer resides on the property he is still very involved and helps out with training and rides from time to time, What could be better than learning from a World Champion! Brandon has also conducted training in Dubai on invitation.
