OFF ROAD COURSE

LEVEL 1

This three day course covers all the basics and fundamentals of off-road riding, equipping the candidate with the skills and knowledge to successfully and with confidence manage a gravel road, this is the basis for more advanced courses and should be done by anyone wanting to venture onto the roads less travelled.

Not only does the course cover all the fundamentals, but also covers such topics as :

  • Equipping your bike for off – road use.
  • Tyres and tyre use.
  • Packing and types of luggage.
  • Essentials to be carried and what not to carry.
  • Hints and tips for your off – road tour.

OFF ROAD COURSE

LEVEL 2

This is a follow on of Level I ( Level I is a prerequisite for Level II ) this three day course is for the rider that would like to take his skills and knowledge that much further concentrating on the more technical riding skills, allowing the candidate to go just that much further and build confidence, to tackle the seemingly impossible. This course is a must for all those that have completed Level I and venture off into the unknown as you never know when conditions change and suddenly your new found skills are proved necessary.

OFF ROAD COURSE

LEVEL 3

This three day course entails all the “FUN” stuff, you know, the things guys do and you look at it and go WOW ! That is so cool, wish I could do that, well guess what you can, with the right knowledge and training. 

Level I and Level II have to be completed before this as this is where all the fundamentals are learnt  and if done correctly all the cool stuff becomes really easy and achievable.

ROAD COURSE

At Boulders Adventure Academy we not only focus on Off-Road riding, a great deal of our training is on-road training as this is the most beneficial course you will ever do and will equip you with the knowledge not only to get the most enjoyment out of your motorcycle but will also hopefully prevent you from getting into dangerous situations, or at least being able to avoid a situation. This course is a must for anyone riding a motorcycle on the road, it is not even questionable.

The course covers topics such as :

  • Defensive riding techniques.
  • Proficiency skills such as, obstacle avoidance, swerving, emergency braking and much more.
  • Slow riding techniques,  a very necessary skill and also a skill to be mastered before attempting off-road riding.
  • Cornering techniques and advanced cornering skills.

OFF ROAD COURSE

GS TOPHY PREPARATION

There are two elements to this, having the necessary skill and confidence to enter into the regional qualifiers and to prepare the candidate that wishes to look beyond regional qualifiers.
At Boulders Adventure Academy we cover both aspects, not only have we trained a World Champion, but he himself is at hand to help you accomplish your dreams.

Trophy preparation weekend :

This is for those that would like to attend the regional qualifiers, candidates must have completed the Level I off – road course and have reasonable riding ability, the course not only focuses on riding techniques and improvement for competition but also focuses on Competition readiness and the mental side of competition.

GS TROPHY BOOTCAMP

This is for those that have set themselves higher goals and are looking beyond regional qualifiers, learn first hand what it is like to compete in international competition, with a focus on becoming World Champion! Do you have what it takes?

SAND RIDING

This 3 day course is primarily done at Sodwana Bay, this course gives the candidate the knowledge and confidence to tackle most sand areas while out riding, to safely learn all the required skills to conquer that ever fearful ” Sand Monster ” after this course you will have the confidence and knowledge to tackle most sand situations.
